Player Profile

Joe Chapple is an all-rounder who bowls left arm seam. Joe, son of Glen, currently plays his club cricket at Bowdon CC for the 1st XI, as well as representing the Cheadle Hulme.

Currently playing in the Lancashire Academy, Chapple also has been involved in the county set up for a long period of time as he was involved in the Cheshire Emerging Player Pathway before moving to Lancashire.

Chapple represented the North team in the ECB Bunbury festival in 2021 managing to win the competition with his side. 

Chapple has club career best figures for Bowdon CC, playing in the Cheshire League, Division One, of 5-28. This performance came on the back of a strong start to the 2023 season with the ball for club and county.

Although a left arm seam bowler, Chapple bats right-handed and has been opening the batting for Club as well as for the Lancashire Academy this season. Thoroughly an all-rounder which can be shown by performances for the Academy including a match winning innings against Derbyshire including four sixes.
