Anderson set for India decision next week
Lancashire County Cricket Club and England bowler James Anderson has returned to bowling in Loughborough this week as he continues his recovery from a shoulder injury.
Anderson, England’s all-time Test wicket taker with 463 scalps, is currently undergoing a back to bowling programme after being ruled out of the current series in Bangladesh and first Test in India.
The Lancashire star will return to the National Cricket Performance Centre next week for a further assessment where a decision made on his involvement in the India series.
“I’m at Loughborough next week,” said the 34-year-old.
“They have a tent there so I will be bowling outdoors. it’ll be a good test and if it goes well I am hoping that we can decide then.
“I have been videoing what I’ve been doing and sending it to the England physios.
“I have got to be realistic. I’ve only been bowling for a week so I can’t rush it."
