Brooke Guest signs for Lancashire on a summer contract
Lancashire County Cricket Club have signed 19 year-old wicket keeper Brooke Guest on a summer contract for the 2017 season.
The wicket-keeper, who also played for Sale CC this summer, represented Lancashire Second XI during the side’s 2016 campaign, averaging nearly 40 in three-day Championship cricket. He was also part of the side that won the Second XI One-Day Trophy against Somerset at Emirates Old Trafford in August.
Guest will return to Emirates Old Trafford in March next year ahead of the Club’s pre-season after playing grade cricket in Australia over the winter.
Guest said, “I’m really excited to get this opportunity with Lancashire. I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing for the Second XI last summer and I’m looking forward to continuing my development with the Club next summer.
“Hopefully I can keep contributing in the Second XI and push for a place in the First Team.”
The right handed wicket keeper batsman has previously featured for Australia U19’s including being named in their World Cup squad before Australia withdrew due to security concerns. He has now committed his future to England.
