Cross looking forward to Yorkshire clash
Kate Cross has loved the experience of the Kia Super League and hopes her side can go out with a bang at Emirates Old Trafford tomorrow as they take on Yorkshire Diamonds.
Lancashire Thunder go into the last game of the competition with one win and three defeats and won't be able to qualify for Finals Day at Chelmsford later this month.
"The more times we play in these situations, the better we are going to play. It's been a great learning experience for all of us, but disappointing that we've only one one game.
"I've learnt so much from the way Amy Satherthwaite has captained the side. The West Indian girls haven't fired yet, but Friday would be a good time for them to do so and hopefully we can get our second win in-front a big crowd at Emirates Old Trafford.
"It's not everyday you can play at Emirates Old Trafford and we had a bit of a taster in the friendly against Loughborough which was brilliant.
"It's a shame that we couldn't beat the Southern Vipers which would have meant winning on Friday and we'd get through, but that's the nature of these competitions.
"It really is a dream come true for me to play at my home ground, having come through the Lancashire Academy. It's been a brilliant experience and I'm already looking forward to next year where we'll be playing some one-day cricket too which will be great.
Tickets for Lancashire Thunder's Kia Super League fixture against Yorkshire Diamonds are £5 for adults, £1 for juniors and free for Lancashire Members.
