Lancashire sign Tom Moores on loan
LANCASHIRE COUNTY Cricket Club have brought in Nottinghamshire wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Moores on loan.
With Alex Davies currently receiving treatment on a knee injury and Jos Buttler on international duty with England, Ashley Giles made the move for the highly-rated 19 year-old left-handed batsman.
Moores, the son of former Lancashire and England Head Coach Peter Moores, has represented England under 19s and has played regularly for the Nottinghamshire Second XI.
Lancashire’s Cricket Director and Head Coach Ashley Giles said: “Tom is highly regarded and is an exciting young talent.
“He has a good pedigree and we are looking forward to him joining up with the squad.”
Moores is set to make his Lancashire debut in Friday’s NatWest T20 Blast fixture against Worcestershire Rapids at Emirates Old Trafford.
