Reece, Edwards and Griffiths to leave Lancashire
Lancashire County Cricket Club can confirm that Luis Reece, Gavin Griffiths and George Edwards will not be offered new deals following the expiration of their current contracts.
LCCC Cricket Director and Head Coach Ashley Giles said: 'We would like to thank Luis, Gavin and George for their contributions to Lancashire County Cricket Club.
"We wish them every success with their future endeavours."
Brown was never good enough for first class cricket, Clark flatters to deceive and Croft looked good momentarily.
I would run their contracts out with second team cricket and bring in more of the youngsters.
Problem with this club is the manager giles and the captain. They have low standards and dont seem to understand the fans points of view. Yorkshire sign brilliant players like Brooks and willey and we get buck and Wayne white. Terrible. As regards to players not good enough you cannot say Smith and Procter. Both have scored well this season and show fight. The same players are at fault croft Clarke Brown. Clear them out
Agree with one of them going (Edwards) but the other two, especially Griffiths, have not been given a chance. Ok I don't know if there was an internal issue, but come on Giles, Spill the beans if so!
