Academy batsman Ed Fluck shines in Super-4s
Lancashire Academy Ed Fluck batsman hit a stunning century for the North in the opening fixture of the Super-4 competition in Loughborough yesterday.
Batting first, London and East made 277 for eight in their 50 overs with Savin Perera of Middlesex making 58 from 75 balls and Jordan Cox of Kent hitting 70 off 90 balls. London and East finished on 277/8 off 50 overs.
Ed Fluck (103), opening the batting for the North alongside fellow Lancashire Academy batsman Jamie Crawley, hit a brilliant century off 107 balls.
George Hill from Yorkshire hit 87, but from 182 for two the North lost their way and eventually tied the game (the first in the history of the competition) scoring 277/8 off 50 overs.
