Brown hits century but Second XI are beaten
Karl Brown hit a century on the final day at Taunton but Somerset completed a 145 run win over Lancashire's Second XI.
Lancashire restarted on 99/5 on Day Three with Danny Lamb and Simon Kerrigan at the crease.
The pair started steadily against an experienced Somerset First XI bowling attack and put on 69 for the sixth wicket. Lamb (38) was dismissed by Peter Trego in the 66th over.
Karl Brown, who had retired the day before after being hit on his elbow off the bowling of Overton, came back in for Lancashire to join Kerrigan (41).
SCORECARD
The Lancashire spinner occupied the crease for 159 balls hitting five boundaries as he supported Brown. Brown played positively from the outset, moving past his half century with ease.
Brown (105) accelerated his scoring in the afternoon session and brought up his hundred before being trapped lbw by Tim Groenewald to leave Lancashire 253/8.
Arron Lilley and Saqib Mahmood were dismissed cheaply as Lancashire were bowled out for 262.
The Second XI are next in action on Thursday against Hampshire.
