Moeen Ali’s unbeaten 67 helped England recover from 153-7 to 224-8 after South Africa fought back on Day Three of the Test.
England struggled to take advantage of their first innings lead, with only Joe Root (49) scoring more than 30 runs for the Three Lions – before Moeen Ali’s saved the hosts blushes with an incredible batting display.
The hosts will start Day Four (Big Red Day) 360 runs ahead of the visitors as their bid to lift the series trophy draws nearer.
