Moeen Ali secures series victory after Evin Lewis’ 176
Moeen Ali helped England to a six-run victory via the DLS method at the Kia Oval as the Three Lions reached an unassailable a 3-0 series lead against the West Indies.
Just three days after hitting a 53-ball century at The Brightside Ground, Moeen Ali struck an unbeaten 48 off 25 deliveries to take England to 258-5 after 35.1 overs, which was enough to secure the victory and seal the series.
However, England didn’t have everything their own way and it was only through injury which ended Evin Lewis’ brilliant innings on 176 off 130 balls. Alzarri Jospeh also produced a bowling masterclass who took 5-56 to become the youngest West Indian to take five-wickets in an ODI.
England will lift the series trophy at the Ageas Bowl on Friday in the final One-Day International of the series.
