Jones hits century for Second XI on Day Two
Rob Jones hit an unbeaten century for Lancashire Second XI on Day Two of the three-day Championship clash against Derbyshire at Hem Heath.
Derbyshire resumed on 343/5 but Lancashire made early inroads with Toby Lester taking the first wicket of the day dismissing Macdonnell (149).
Lancashire went on to take the final four wickets for just 21 runs with Lester (5/79) taking a further two wickets and one from Danny Lamb as the hosts were bowled out for 386.
In reply, Derbyshire took the early wicket of Karl Brown (9) but Rob Jones looked in good touch from the outset. The 21 year-old played positively and was very well supported by both Josh Bohannon (53) and Brooke Guest (42).
Jones (130*) went to his century in the final session of the day and was unbeaten as Lancashire declared on 268/5 with still four days left in the day.
Derbyshire closed the day on 8/0.
