Lightning reach the Emirates T20 Final
Lancashire Lightning completed a 16 run win over Lahore Qalanders in a rain affected clash to reach the final of the Emirates T20 at the ICC Academy.
Lahore won the toss and elected to field first with Alex Davies and Liam Livingstone opening the batting for Lancashire.
Davies was dismissed in the first over but Livingstone soon found his range hitting a boundary and a maximum in the second over.
The England Lions batsman was then caught on the boundary as Karl Brown joined Luke Procter in the middle.
The Lancashire pair played nicely putting on 47 for the fourth wicket partnership before Brown (28) was dismissed.
Rob Jones fell without scoring but Procter continued to play his shots all round the wicket. Jordan Clark joined him and hit a quickfire 13 as Lancashire posted 90/6 off ten overs.
In reply, Lahore made a solid start putting on 39 for the first wicket but Lancashire stayed in the game with some economical bowling in the opening four overs.
Liam Livingstone made an important first breakthrough before Stephen Parry took his first wicket of the afternoon dismissing Zia to leave the Pakistan Super League side 46/2.
Danny Lamb and Tom Bailey also picked up a wicket a piece as Lahore were restricted to 74/4 as Lancashire Lightning won by 16 runs to reach the final.
