Liverpool CC to host Lancashire Lightning’s NatWest T20 Blast opener
Lancashire County Cricket Club can confirm that Lancashire Lightning’s opening NatWest T20 Blast fixture against Leicestershire Foxes will be played at Liverpool CC on Sunday 9th July (2:30pm).
It follows the news from last week that Emirates Old Trafford will host a third concert of the summer as Radiohead play live at the venue on Tuesday 4th July.
Radiohead were due to perform two shows on the 4th and 5th July at Manchester Arena but following last month’s tragedy, the venue was left with no option but to cancel their concerts. Emirates Old Trafford is keen to support its fellow venue in the city, which has gone through such a challenging time in recent weeks.
This year’s fixture will be a repeat of the last time that Lancashire played a home T20 match at an outground, against Leicestershire at Liverpool CC in July 2009, where current players Steven Croft and Stephen Parry both featured, as did current Head Coach Glen Chapple.
As this fixture is now an all-ticket game, the Club will contact Members, Season Ticket holders and ticket holders with more information.
All remaining tickets will go on general sale from Thursday 29th June with tickets priced at £25 for adults and £5 for juniors.
Lancashire Lightning will return to Emirates Old Trafford for the NatWest T20 Blast clash against Roses rivals on Friday 14th July.
