ODI Flashback: England v Sri Lanka, Third ODI 2014
It’s Not Just Cricket – It’s a memorable victory for England in ODI Cricket
After England’s first ODI whitewash since 2012 following their victory over the West Indies, we will take a look back at another memorable performance by the Three Lions as they beat a travelling Sri Lanka side by 10 wickets at Emirates Old Trafford in 2014.
With the series tied at 1-1, England travelled to Manchester to face Sri Lanka in a bid to gain the upper-hand in the 5 game series.
But not many expected what happened during that memorable One-Day match at Emirates Old Trafford as England spectacularly bowled the visitors out for 67 after just 24 overs – with Chris Jordan, James Anderson and James Tredwell all claiming wickets.
Needing just 68 to win, the Three Lions made light work in what was once of the most one-sided matches in ODI history, winning the game by just the 12th over – all without losing a wicket.
