Durham put on 32 for the first wicket before Tom Bailey made the opening breakthrough dismissing Adam Hickey in the seventh over.
Matthew Parkinson took his first wicket before Josh Bohannon struck in the following over to leave Durham on 44/3. Parkinson then took his second wicket in his next over to leave Durham struggling.
