Yorkshire dominate Day Two at Scarborough

Second XI report

The Yorkshire batsmen dominated Day Two as Scarborough as the hosts closed on 463/6.

Harry Brook and James Tattersall put on 82 for the first wicket before Lancashire made the opening breakthrough of the morning in the 24th over as Lilley had the latter caught by Brooke Guest.

Kohler-Cadmore, Yorkshire's new signing from Worcestershire, was dismissed the following over as Luke Procter had him caught behind with the hosts 83/2.

Brook went to his half century and was joined by Callis (25) and Gibson (23) before Lilley and Procter both took their second wickets.

Yorkshire were 205/4 as Brook then reached his century and was well supported by Thompson. The pair put 133 for the fifth wicket before Brook (162) was finally out, stumped brilliantly by George Lavelle off the bowling of Arron Lilley.

Thompson (133) reached his century before being dismissed by Simon Kerrigan but Yorkshire continued to pile the runs on as Joshua Shaw hit an unbeaten half century as the hosts closed 113 runs ahead of Lancashire.
