Lancashire wicket keeper impresses in Antigua
Lancashire wicket keeper Alex Davies hit 78 for the England Lions in a one-day warm-up fixture at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium.
The Lions won the toss and elected to bat first, but early wickets fell.
Nick Gubbins, Joe Clark, Sam Hain, Sam Northwest and Keaton Jennings were all dismissed with the Lions reduced to 80/5.
Davies and Surrey's Sam Curran put on 141 for the sixth wicket before the Lancashire batsman fell for 78.
The Lions ended up posting an impressive 328/9 form 50 overs.
Curran then impressed with the ball taking 3/24 from six overs, whilst Northants pace man Richard Gleeson also taking three wickets.
Lancashire's Matt Parkinson took 1/13 off six overs as the opposition were bowled out for 82 with the Lions winning by 246 runs.
The Lions start the proper series, which will all be played in Antigua, tomorrow with a game against West Indies A at the old Stanford Cricket Ground in Coolidge.
