Bailey, Croft and Brown impress on Day 1
Lancashire trio impress against the UAE
Tom Bailey took six wickets for Lancashire on Day One of the two-day red ball fixture against the UAE at the ICC Academy in Dubai before Steven Croft and Karl Brown both hit half centuries for the Red Rose.
It was agreed between the sides that Lancashire would bowl first on a hot day in Dubai and Tom Bailey set the tone for the visitors, taking two wickets in the first over of the game.
Graham Onions opened at the other end but it was Bailey that struck in his second over with Lobo nicking behind the Brooke Guest.
Bailey then took his fourth wicket just five overs later as Qasim strangled one down leg and was once again caught behind by Guest.
The Prestonian bowler completed his five wicket haul in just the 11th over of the game as the UAE were reduced to 41/5.
Danny Lamb was the next bowler to strike for Lancashire dismissing Mirza for 9.
Rehman played positively for UAE, hitting eight boundaries, but he was dismissed one short of his half century as Chris Sanders took his first wicket.
Bailey took his sixth wicket, bowling Martis, before Lamb and then Parry chipped in with the final wickets as Lancashire bowled UAE out for 130 in 45.5 overs.
In reply, openers Haseeb Hameed (4) and Job Jones (10) were both dismissed cheaply to leave Lancashire 26/2 in the early stages.
Karl Brown joined Steven Croft in the middle and the pair went about rebuilding the innings at a steady pace on a vastly hot afternoon in Dubai.
Croft was the aggressor of the two and went to his half century before Brown reached the same milestone just a couple of overs later.
The former Lancashire Captain was later dismissed for 84, and all-rounder Jordan Clark followed shortly after to leave Glen Chapple's side 188/4 at the close.
Karl Brown (74*) will be joined by Danny Lamb in the morning.
