Bailey, Davies and Mahmood named in England Lions squads
Lancashire trio named in Lions squads
Lancashire bowler Tom Bailey has been named in the England Lions squad for their two 'Test Match' series against India A in February.
Bailey, a graduate of Lancashire’s Academy and Scholarship programmes, enjoyed a stellar 2018 campaign with the red ball, taking 64 wickets at an average of just 19 and finished as last season’s Specsavers County Championship Division One leading wicket taker.
Alex Davies and Saqib Mahmood have been named in the 50-over squad, whilst Matt Parkinson misses out as he continues his recovery from back injury. Batsman Liam Livingstone will play in the Pakistan Super League with the Karachi Kings early next year.
The tour will see the Lions play five 50-over matches and two A Tests and comes off the back of a series in the UAE, against Pakistan A, in which the hosts narrowly won the four-day and 50-over series and the Lions claimed the T20 leg.
