#TheRetURN: Watch highlights of Michael Clarke’s century in 2013.
In this countdown to #TheRetURN of the Specsavers Ashes Test at Emirates Old Trafford, we will look back at former Australia captain Michael Clarke’s incredible century back in 2013.
After losing the opening two Tests of the 2013 series, Australia’s Michael Clarke knew that the visitors had to win to prevent England from retaining the Ashes so set about stopping the hosts bowling attack with a fine batting display.
Michael Clarke reached a masterful 187 before being bowled by Stuart Broad to help Australia reach a commanding first innings score of 527/7d. Although Australia remained on top throughout the match, the rain forced an early finish and a series winning draw for England, despite Michael Clarke’s heroics.
