Lancashire seamer awarded County Cap
Graham Onions was awarded his Lancashire County Cap this morning ahead of the side's Specsavers County Championship clash against Roses rivals Yorkshire at Headingley.
Onions, who signed a two-year contract from Durham last year, is the leading wicket taker in this year's Specsavers County Championship with 55 wickets at an average of just 21.
This is the eighth season Onions, who was named the Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2010 and has nine Test caps to his name, has taken over 50 wickets in a Championship season.
Lancashire's Director of Cricket, Paul Allott, who presented Onions his cap this morning, said: "Graham is thoroughly deserving of his Lancashire County Cap. He has had an outstanding campaign.
"The way he has conducted himself this season has been exemplary and is a fine example to cricketer's up and down the country, both on and off the field."
