Lancashire Academy win double header in Oman
Lancashire Academy completed their week-long tour of Oman with two impressive T20 victories yesterday.
The Red Rose side, led by first teamer Jordan Clark, won the opening game by 63 runs.
Clark (40) and Sam Dorsey (24) got Lancashire off to a flier with the bat and were very well supported by George Lavelle (40), Sam Perry (24) and Ed Fluck (31*) who all contributed well to the final total of 188/4 from 20 overs.
In reply, Lancashire started well with Muhammad Ahmad making the opening breakthrough. The spinner went on to take three wickets as the Red Rose restricted the Omani side to 125/7 from 20 overs.
In the second game, Lancashire restricted the hosts to 137 all out in their innings which lasted 19.2 overs. Tom Bailey was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/26.
Lancashire chased the total down of 138 in less than 10 overs, in the most part due to some outstanding hitting from opening batsman Ed Fluck.
Fluck hit a stunning 84 from just 31 deliveries as Lancashire won the second T20 of the day by 9 wickets.
