Thunder confirm squad for 2018 campaign
Lancashire Thunder is delighted to announce its full squad for this year’s Kia Super League.
The 15 strong squad will be led for the first time by new Head Coach, Alex Blackwell.
The team will again be captained by Danielle Hazell, who is joined in the side by fellow England internationals Kate Cross, Alex Hartley and Sophie Ecclestone, the latter was recently named player of the series following the WT20I tri-series against South Africa and New Zealand.
Thunder have secured the services of three overseas players, with Nicole Bolton and Amy Satterthwaite, Australia and New Zealand internationals respectively, joining India’s WT20I captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who shot to fame following her unbeaten 171 from 115 balls in the semi-finals of the Women’s Cricket World Cup last year.
Thunder have also strengthened their squad with a domestic signing, Georgie Boyce making the switch from Loughborough Lightning to Emirates Old Trafford.

Head Coach Alex Blackwell said, “I’m delighted with the squad that we have here at Lancashire Thunder and cannot wait for the Kia Super League to start.
“Our overseas and England players will be of a huge benefit to the squad, not only out on the pitch but also working alongside our players behind the scenes.
“The squad will meet up on Monday for the first time and I am looking forward to getting to work ahead of our first KSL game against Loughborough Lightning.”
