Livingstone reacts to Worcestershire defeat
Lancashire Captain Liam Livingstone said that his side have to start learning from their mistakes after today's Royal London One-Day Cup defeat to Worcestershire at New Road.
Livingstone hit a half century for the visitors before Worcestershire were reduced to to 93/6 but Daryl Mitchell hit an unbeaten century to lead the hosts home to a three wicket win.
“It is the same as what we’ve done all competition. We’ve got ourselves in another great position and thrown it away and it is very disappointing and a game should have won.
“Fair play to the Worcestershire boys. They rebuilt very well and it was a very good innings from Daryl Mitchell.
“We’ve had the three games that we’ve lost, we’ve had them all under control and thrown all three away.
“I suppose we’ve got to learn from this and we can’t keep doing the same things because we keep getting the same results.
“It is up to us to start doing something about it. We’ve now got to win every game game and hopefully turn it around by the end of the one-day stuff and take it into the T20.
“I thought we were 50-60 short. We thought it was a very good pitch and we knew we needed early wickets to try and get in a position to win the game.
“We got into a great position to win the game but couldn’t get the one more wicket we needed which would have seen us over the line.”
