Livingstone ruled out of third Lions 'Test' and returns home
Liam Livingstone has been ruled out of England Lions’ third “Test” against West Indies A which starts in Antigua on Monday after suffering an injury to his left ankle in training.
The Lancashire captain, who had already been withdrawn from the one-day series against West Indies A which follows the Tests because of his inclusion in the England squad for their two-Test series in New Zealand, will now return home for assessment and treatment.
At this stage the injury is not thought to be serious, and a decision on his fitness to tour New Zealand with England will be made in due course.
The Lions are 2-0 down in the three-match series after two defeats in Jamaica. The series concludes with a day-night match played with pink balls, at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
