Notts Second XI edge Day One at Liverpool
Tom Bailey, Liam Hurt, Danny Lamb and Jack Morley all took two wickets each on the opening day of Lancashire Second XI's Championship match against Nottinghamshire at Liverpool CC.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, the Red Rose made two early inroads as Hurt removed Chris Gibson, before Bailey got Savin Perera (both 4) to reduce the visitors to 9-2.
Solomon Budinger led the Notts fightback scoring 109, but Notts continued to lose regular wickets around him.
Lancashire were well placed with Notts 256-6, following wickets in quick succession by Lamb and Morley.
But, lower order batsman Liam Patterson-White dug in to score a gritty half century and give his side a slender advantage.
Patterson-White finished unbeaten on 67 at the close of play, with Notts reaching 382-9, following a tight first day.
Lancashire will be looking to take the final wicket early on Day Two, before batting long.
