WHAT THEY SAID: Nottinghamshire v Lancashire, Day One
REACTION: Nottinghamshire v Lancashire, Day One
See what players from both camps had to say at the end of Day One of the Specsavers County Championship clash between Nottinghamshire and Lancashire at Trent Bridge.

Alex Davies (50) commented “It was a very good day for us. Obviously we came and chose to bowl and that worked out well.
“We got some early wickets and they never really got any partnerships going. We said that if they did get any partnerships we’d have to hang in there because we knew the pitch was doing a bit but luckily they didn’t.
“When we came to bat it was a pitch that was still doing a bit, so I thought the best way for me to play was to be a bit positive.
“It’s never an excuse to go out and just smack it but I thought today I wanted to try and put the bowlers under pressure.”
Nottinghamshire
Luke Fletcher, who scored 2-25 with the ball said “It wasn’t a great day. Being bowled out for 133 is never ideal nut I think we are still in with a shout if we bowl well tomorrow morning.
“The first hour will be key, we need two or three wickets and take it from there.”
“I think we’d have batted first anyway, we were all ready and focused to do our job but unfortunately we didn’t apply ourselves against a good Lancashire attack.”
Commenting on Anderson, he said “He’s the best example for anyone, for any bowler on the circuit or around the world, so it was great to watch him bowl and work on his traits. He’s obviously a handful here, as his terrific record on the ground shows.”
