WATCH: Matt Parkinson reacts to Melbourne Stars selection
"A dream to play in the Big Bash"
Lancashire's leg-spinner Matt Parkinson has given his reaction to Lancashire Cricket TV, following the news earlier this week that he will join Melbourne Stars for a stint in this year's Big Bash League competition.
The Bolton-born leg spinner will replace Nepal leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane for half the season, as Lamichhane plays for the Sylhet Sixers in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Parkinson, who signed his first professional contract with Lancashire in 2015, has enjoyed a very successful 2018 campaign, particularly with the white ball, taking 25 wickets in the Vitality Blast as Lancashire Lightning reached the semi-finals, as well as being the leading wicket taker with 18 in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
The 21-year-old will travel to the UAE with England Lions next month for a four-day and limited-overs series against Pakistan, before joining up with the Stars in December.
