Alex Davies hits century but Second XI defeated by Durham
Second XI Report
Alex Davies hit a century in Lancashire Second XI's 128-run defeat to Durham at Chester Boughton Hall Cricket Club.
Durham, who won the toss and elected to bat first, lost a wicket with the first ball of the game, with Toby Lester dismissing Cameron Steel.
George Burrows took the second wicket in the fourth over but Durham counter-attacked with Coughlin and Bell playing positively from the outset.
Both players went and hit half centuries before Ed Moulton dismissed Bell for 53.
Tom Hartley dismissed Coughlin but Stuart Poynter and Nathan Rimmington continued Durham's momentum as the visitors posted 333/7 from their 50 overs.
In Lancashire's reply, the hosts lost two wickets in the first four overs with Fluck and Lavelle falling cheaply.
Davies and the returning Danny Lamb put on 75 for the third wicket before the latter departed for 28.
The Lancashire wicket keeper continued to dominate the strike with the 24 year-old going to a well paced century.
Parry (31) contributed well with the bat at 5 but Lancashire collapsed from 150/4 to 205 all out with Durham coming out on top by 128 runs.
