Balderson impresses in U19s tri-series
The Lancashire all-rounder is the pick of England's bowlers after three matches
England under-19 captain George Balderson has started impressively in their tri-series against West Indies and Sri Lanka.
The pace bowler has taken eight scalps in three matches as England have notched a victory and two defeats from their opening three games.
Starting with an economical 2/17 from eight overs in the first match against West Indies, he took 4/47 in the next game to steer his side to a 29-run win.
He registered figures of 2/20 off eight in their first encounter with Sri Lanka, which they lost by 27 runs on DLS.
They are back in action tomorrow (Thursday 12 December), again against West Indies, before back-to-back fixtures against Sri Lanka to finish the tour.
It is England's final preparations for the under-19 World Cup early in the New Year.
