In this 'Blast from the Past' feature, we will take a look back at Lancashire's 2015 Blast victory as the Red Rose claimed their first T20 trophy after a thrilling final against Northants Steelbacks at Edgbaston.
Lightning, who opened the batting, got off the ideal start with 52 from the powerplay but fell for two quick wickets to leave the Red Rose on 78-2. Lancashire then picked up the pace and continued to rack up the runs to give them a healthy score of 166.
Chasing a score of 167 to win, Northants were reduced to 45-2 within the powerplay – with Australian superstar James Faulkner taking both wickets before his early departure from the game with a dislocated finger.

Steelbacks then went on the attack to bring up a score of 133 by the 17th over, but were unable pick up the pace and fell 13 runs short at the end of their innings with 153-6.
The result gave Lancashire the first trophy in T20 cricket, and one which will live long in the memory or any Red Rose fan.
