Fluck hits century to put Second XI in control
Second XI take commanding lead over Durham
Ed Fluck hit a century as Lancashire's Second XI took control on Day Two of their Championship match against Durham at Chester Boughton Hall CC.
Following a rain hit opening day, Durham resumed on 98-7, with Toby Lester taking all three remaining wickets to finish with 5 for 64 as the visitors were bowled out for 148.
Fellow quick Saqib Mahmood had done the damage on the previous day as he claimed 4 for 46 with George Burrows (1-10) picking up a solitary wicket.
Lancashire lost opener Taylor Cornall early on but rebuilt through Alex Davies (27) and Danny Lamb (29).
Both had departed with the score 71-3, before a partnership of 159 between Fluck and George Lavelle put the Red Rose into a commanding position.
Lavelle eventually fell for 76, before Fluck was dismissed for an outstanding 122 from 175 deliveries, containing 15 fours and 3 sixes.
Lancashire closed Day Two on 299-5 with a first innings lead of 151 runs.
