Where do you play Club cricket?
I play my cricket at Hyde Cricket Club in the Cheshire League
Who is your idol?
I would say Alastair Cook, as a fellow left handed opening batsman
Cricketer you are most compared to?
As a batter probably somebody like Andrew Strauss, with the ball I’m not too sure really
Best innings that you have played?
I scored a hundred last year in the Super 4s playing for the North of England, that one definitely stands out for me
Your hobbies or interests away from cricket?
I like to watch other sports, so football and rugby would probably be my main interests outside of cricket
If not a cricketer, what would you be?
I was good at all of the sciences at school and like I said, I love sport so maybe I could have went down the physiotherapy route
Best friend in the Lancashire Cricket Academy?
Probably Jack Morley. I spend a lot of time with him. We met in the Academy, he’s the same age as me and we’ve gone on to play a lot of cricket together and we’ve also been selected for the Young Lions together too
Highlight of your career so far?
It would have to be between signing my first pro deal with Lancashire or getting selected onto the England Young Lions programme this winter
Football team you support?
I’m a Manchester United fan
One interesting fact about you?
I can’t think of one, there’s got to be one…I was head boy at my high school
What do you hope to achieve with Lancashire in 2019?
I want to put in some consistent performances for the Lancashire Second XI and do my best to push a case for First Team selection towards the back end of the season
Which player in the Lancashire First Team squad do you look up to?
I’d say Keaton Jennings, as a left handed opening batsman who has gone on to to play for England
