Guest and Jones lead Lancashire to victory
Lancashire vs UAE - Match Report
Keaton Jennings won the toss and elected to field first at the ICC Academy.
Toby Lester and George Burrows opened the bowling for Lancashire but it was the UAE who made a solid start putting on an unbeaten 50 stand in the opening 12 overs.
George Balderson came into the attack and made the breakthrough for Glen Chapple's side taking a very impressive caught and bowled effort, dismissing opener Bohan Mustafa (25) to leave the UAE 67/1 in the 14th over.
Balderson took his second wicket two overs later with the UAE batsman caught behind by Alex Davies to leave the hosts 73/2.
In the 23rd over, Balderson took his third wicket of the day before Tom Hartley struck to leave the UAE 100/4.
A number of the UAE middle order made starts but failed to push on with Bohannon striking and then Lester taking two wickets in quick succession. George Burrows took a late wicket with the UAE posting 230/8 from their 50 overs.
Balderson was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/37 from his ten overs.
In reply, Lancashire made a positive start with Jennings and Alex Davies opening the batting. Davies struck two early boundaries but was caught at third man for 17 to leave Lancashire 40/1.
Jennings was caught on the boundary for 21 before Hameed was bowled first ball.
