Lancashire pair ready for T10 League
Alex Davies and Richard Gleeson are in Abu Dhabi preparing for the start of this season's T10 League, which begins tomorrow (15 November)
Lancashire's Alex Davies and Richard Gleeson will line up alongside each other in the third edition of the T10 League, beginning tomorrow (15 November) in Abu Dhabi.
The pair were drafted together back in October for the newest team, Team Abu Dhabi, for the 10-day competition.
After the first two editions of the competition were staged in Sharjah, it has this year moved to Abu Dhabi for the first time and will be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
Gleeson returns to the competition for a second successive season after impressing for Maratha Arabians last year, taking nine wickets in as many matches to make him the fourth highest wicket-taker.
Team Abu Dhabi's first match comes in the final of three matches on the opening night and they have been drawn in Group B.
After three group games, the top two will face the bottom two of Group A in the next stage and vice versa before the eliminator stages begin on Saturday 23 November with the final a day later.
The marquee players include India's Yuvraj Singh and West Indies' Dwayne Bravo.
The tournament is broadcast live on FreeSports in the UK.
