Matt Parkinson and Saqib Mahmood are called up for England's Test and IT20 squads in the upcoming tour to New Zealand
Lancashire bowlers Matt Parkinson and Saqib Mahmood have received their maiden international call-ups for England's winter tour to New Zealand in October/November.
The pair are included in both Test and IT20 squads for the tour, with Jos Buttler also included in the Test side for the two-match series.
Parkinson has taken 19 wickets in the 2019 Specsavers County Championship season including a career-best match haul of 10/165 against Sussex at Emirates Old Trafford in July.
He added 21 Vitality Blast wickets this year to the 25 taken in last year's competition, cementing his position as one of the country's leading spin bowlers.
Mahmood took eight Vitality Blast wickets this season, including a memorable three-wicket performance against Yorkshire Vikings at Headingley.
The 22-year-old has added 21 Specsavers County Championship Division Two wickets this season as part of Lancashire's title-winning side.
The five-match IT20 series in New Zealand starts on November 1 and the two-match Test series starts on November 21.
