Livingstone pens Perth Scorchers deal
The Lancashire all-rounder will play at Optus Stadium in this season's Big Bash League in Australia
Liam Livingstone has signed for Perth Scorchers to play in the ninth edition of Australia's Big Bash League.
The all-rounder will appear for the three-times winners when the tournament gets underway on 17 December.
His stint begins following the Mzansi Super League in South Africa, where he made his debut for Cape Town Blitz yesterday (Friday 8 November), striking three sixes in making 21 as they defeated Jozi Stars.
“I’m so excited to have signed with the Scorchers for the upcoming Big Bash, it’s a tournament I’ve always wanted to play in so I can’t wait to get to Perth,” Livingstone told the Perth Scorchers website.
“I’ve spent a winter in Perth, I know the place well and I’m looking forward to getting back there."
Livingstone will line up alongside the likes of Australia internationals Mitchell Marsh, Cameron Bancroft, Ashton Turner and Ashton Agar at Optus Stadium.
The Scorchers' first game comes against Sydney Sixers on 18 December, with the final of the competition slated for 8 February.
