Second XI in control of Warwickshire clash
Lancashire controlled the opening two days of their Championship clash against Warwickshire, taking a 375-run second innings lead into the final day.
After being asked to bat first, Lancashire's innings was held together by opener Brooke Guest (60) as they lost a flurry of top-order wickets.
When Guest was dismissed, George Lavelle (31) and Stephen Parry (64) made important contributions as Lancashire were bowled out for 222.
An inspired bowling performance by Chris Sanders tipped the match in the Lancashire's favour, claiming five wickets in a row just 47 runs, including that of former England batsman Ian Bell.
George Burrows (2-49), George Balderson (1-27) and Matt Parkinson (1-5) were also amongst the wickets as a clinical Red Rose attacked dismissed their hosts for 128.
Guest once again provided his side with a solid platform, scoring 63 as he and Danny Lamb (36) put on 68 for the second wicket to put Lancashire in control.
The seventh wicket saw an unlikely century stand between Parry (76) and Parkinson (44) with Lancashire closing Day Two on 281-6 as they push for victory on the third and final day.
