VOTE: Hilton Garden Inn April Player of the Month

VOTE: Hilton Garden Inn April Player of the Month

Hilton Garden Inn Player of the Month

Voting is now open for Lancashire’s Hilton Garden Inn Player of the Month for April.

Hilton Garden Inn will be offering successful drawn voters a free hotel break at one of their hotels around the world. Competition winners will be contacted once the vote is completed on Friday 10 May.

Here are the nominations...

Steven Croft

The experienced all-rounder was in fine form during Lancashire’s Royal London One-Day Cup matches in April.

After a move up the order to number three at Notts on Good Friday, he smashed 110 from 82 balls, following that up with 97 in the nail-biting win at Yorkshire two days later.

An unbeaten 37 at home to Leicestershire, and a crucial 99 during a successful run chase at Durham, meant that Croft ended the month topping the Club’s One-Day batting charts with 375 runs.

Haseeb Hameed

Lancashire’s young opener kicked off the season with 218 against Loughborough MCCU, before scoring a classy century at Lord’s against Middlesex, as the Red Rose kicked off their Specsavers County Championship campaign with a win.

The 22-year-old went on to score a further 168 runs in the Royal London One-Day Cup during April, including a top scoring 65 in Lancashire’s win over Northants.

Rob Jones

Like Hameed, Rob Jones started the season with a century at Loughborough before hitting 122 at Middlesex to help Lancashire secure a seven wicket win.

His 65 at Emerald Headingley set Lancashire up to post an imposing total during their win in the Roses One-Day Cup clash.

Jones then held his nerve to hit the winning runs in the victory at Durham, finishing 33 not out.

Saqib Mahmood

Following an injury-hit 2018, Saqib Mahmood has started 2019 superbly – his 20 wickets in the Royal London One-Day Cup helped the Red Rose end the month on a four match winning streak.

He followed up career best figures of 6-37 against Northants with 5-14 against Leicestershire as Lancashire recorded back-to-back victories on home turf.
