Day Two between Lancashire and Notts ruined by weather
Not a single ball was bowled on the slated second day of the Bob Willis Trophy match at Trent Bridge
No play was possible on the second day of the Bob Willis Trophy fixture between Lancashire and Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Persistent drizzle and low cloud, which brought the distinct possibility of bad light into play, remained throughout the day to thwart any hope of play.
The covers were briefly cleared in the morning but were soon returned onto the square and despite four separate inspections, the conditions did not improve nearly enough to warrant a resumption in play.
Nottinghamshire will go into the third day on their overnight score from Day One of 268/2 with Ben Slater (111*) & Joe Clarke (4*) at the crease.
