Jos Buttler to attend the Cricket Expo
World Cup hero to be at the Expo on Saturday 29 February
ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 winner Jos Buttler will be in attendance at the Cricket Expo.
The Lancashire and England star will be at Emirates Old Trafford on Saturday 29 February and available for photo opportunities with the Cricket World Cup trophy.
Buttler’s explosive skills will also be on display in the Trafford Cricket Centre during a batting masterclass with Lancashire’s Assistant Coach Mark Chilton.
The 29-year-old sealed England’s historic World Cup Final victory over New Zealand, breaking the stumps to run out Martin Guptill off the last ball of the Super Over.
Buttler, who’s made over 200 white ball appearances for England, is regarded as one the game’s most innovative batsmen and will provide a fascinating insight into his mindset when at the crease.
There will also be an exclusive chance for Expo attendees to take their photograph with Buttler, alongside the Cricket World Cup trophy - that he and his England teammates held aloft last July.
Head of Cricket Business, Warren Hegg said: “We’re delighted that Jos has been able to find time in his busy international schedule to attend the first day of our Cricket Expo.
“Jos is a Cricket World Cup winner who has also played in several Ashes series’ and is a major star of the IPL – so it will be fascinating to hear his thoughts on a batsmen's mindset during the masterclass.
“Undoubtedly, the moment of the summer is the image of Jos breaking the stumps to win England the World Cup for the first time, and it will be amazing for our Expo attendees to immortalise the moment by having their photo taken with Jos and the trophy.”
