Keaton Jennings eyes Roses improvements
The left-hander praised Lancashire's character but knows the Red Rose must improve against the old foe starting on Saturday
After managing a draw in a tough Bob Willis Trophy match against Nottinghamshire, Keaton Jennings says Lancashire can takes the positives - but knows there must be improvements against Yorkshire on Saturday.
Jennings batted throughout the afternoon alongside Alex Davies to secure the eight points after being made to follow-on by the hosts earlier in the day.
And while there are positives to take from still being in the hunt for a five-day Lord's final, Jennings knows the Red Rose cannot afford to be off their game against the old enemy.
“It was good to come out of a game in which we’ve not played well with a draw. It gives guys confidence that we will fight back from games in which we are not in a great position," he said.
“We pride ourselves on being a side that is tough to beat. we didn’t play our best cricket for the first three days so we had to stand up today and face the music.
"Hopefully we can start better with bat and ball because we feel we were below par in both regards this week."
