Lancashire announce pre-season friendlies
Trips to Nottinghamshire and Hampshire are confirmed ahead of the 2020 season
Lancashire Cricket can announce pre-season friendlies against Nottinghamshire and Hampshire as part of preparations for the 2020 season.
Glen Chapple’s side will travel to Trent Bridge for a three-day fixture starting on Monday 30 March before immediately heading to The Ageas Bowl for a two-day match against Hampshire, beginning on Thursday 2 April.
The squad will then face Durham University at Emirates Old Trafford between 7-9 April before the Specsavers County Championship begins against Kent on 12 April.
Lancashire’s Director of Cricket, Paul Allott, said: “Following the postponement of our pre-season tour, we are pleased to have been able to arrange two high quality matches in such a short space of time.
“The opportunity to get outdoors will be hugely beneficial in addition to the Durham University fixture and we are confident the squad will be ready come the first day of the county season against Kent.
“We would especially like to thank Mick Newell and Giles White for their co-operation and help in organising these fixtures.”
