Live blog: Yorkshire vs Lancashire, Day One
Updates from the first day of the friendly at Emerald Headingley
Welcome to the live blog from the first day of the two-day, red ball friendly against Yorkshire at Emerald Headingley.
The behind-closed-doors fixture is Lancashire's second pre-season warm-up after the intra-squad friendly at the beginning of this week.
This page will be updated with the latest from Headingley throughout the day, with commentary available via the BBC Sport website.
6:10pm: That's the close on Day One of this friendly fixture and Yorkshire finish on 337/5.
Dane Vilas will be happy with his side's outing today, with the bowlers rotated sufficiently and all getting miles in their legs.
Tomorrow is the turn of the batsmen - weather permitting.
5:30pm: The bowling change does the trick. Jonny Tattersall plays across one and is LBW to Josh Bohannon for 13. 289/5.
5:20pm: Some attacking intent from Matthew Waite, who's scored a run-a-ball 22 and found the boundary three times.
Two bowlers into the attack for the first time today in Jack Morley and Josh Bohannon, with the score now 287/4.
4:45pm: Two in the over for Graham Onions from the Emerald Stand end.
Harry Brook is the first to go courtesy of a great diving catch from Dane Vilas, who has taken over wicketkeeping duties from Alex Davies in the evening session.
And the veteran bowler follows it up with the wicket of Tom Loten, trapped in front. It probably would've hit middle halfway up.
256/4 with Jonny Tattersall and Matthew Waite at the crease.
4:00pm: As expected, Adam Lyth retires during the break meaning we have two new batsmen at the crease in Harry Brook and Tom Loten.
Danny Lamb to finish his over, after which there will be 33 overs left in the day.
3:40pm: Wicket and tea.
Danny Lamb's beaten the bat on a few occasions and gets his rewards this time as Will Fraine edges behind to Alex Davies for 28.
The break is taken at 211/2, though it looks as though Adam Lyth may be retiring on 108 to let two new batsmen have time at the crease to begin the final session.
3:00pm: Adam Lyth goes to his century with a single off Danny Lamb. It comes in 143 balls with 16 boundaries, two of which were sixes.
In the same over, Will Fraine edges one through the vacant fourth slip region for his first runs.
The sanitisation break comes at 179/1 for the hosts.
2:45pm: The first wicket of the day comes to Tom Hartley - and it's an outstanding grab from the young left-arm spinner.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore drills it back to his left and Hartley makes no mistake with a one-handed grab.
Will Fraine is the new man in at 170/1. Adam Lyth is not out on 95.
2:00pm: A flurry of boundaries to the short side of the ground has handed Yorkshire a quick start post-lunch.
They have moved on to 132/0.
1:00pm: Lyth reaches his own fifty from the final ball before lunch, which also brings up the hundred stand for Yorkshire.
The players head into the break on 101/0.
12:58pm: A thickish outside edge through gully off Graham Onions takes Tom Kohler-Cadmore to his half-century. It's come off 84 balls, with the majority of runs (40) coming in boundaries.
12:30pm: Runs are coming slightly more freely in the last half hour or so for the hosts. Lamb & Hurt have been tight with their line and length, but are seeing the odd loose delivery pounced upon.
82/0 in 22nd over as George Balderson comes into the attack for his first over.
12:00pm: Things have settled down a touch from the White Rose openers. The score is 42/0 from 14 with Liam Hurt and Danny Lamb rotated into the attack.
The first six of the innings came as Lyth flicked Hurt off his hips and over the short boundary at deep square, towards the Headingley Lodge.
11:15am: We are underway with Tom Bailey and Graham Onions taking the new ball for Lancashire, with Adam Lyth and Tom Kohler-Cadmore opening up for Yorkshire.
It has been a very tidy start indeed from the opening bowlers, getting the ball nipping around.
Onions had a close LBW shout against Kohler-Cadmore turned down, while Lyth has just survived a low chance at square leg off the bowling of Bailey.
10:30am: Welcome to the first day of the two-day friendly fixture between Yorkshire and Lancashire at Emerald Headingley.
What with the Bob Willis Trophy fixtures being announced this morning and this being the Red Rose's first taste of cricket against another side since the pre-season friendly against a Reliance XI in Mumbai, it really feels like a step up towards the season beginning at Leicestershire next weekend.
Given the game is a practice scenario, Lancashire will field for 90 overs today and then bat for 90 tomorrow.
All 14 players selected in the squad will be used, giving everyone a chance to get overs under their belt - with both bat and ball - over the next two days.
