Mahmood makes ODI debut
The Lancashire seamer impressed as England squared the series with a win in Johannesburg
Saqib Mahmood took a wicket on his maiden One-Day International appearance as England won by two wickets in the final match of the series against South Africa.
The 22-year-old finished with fine figures of 1/17 off five overs, including one maiden, to help Eoin Morgan's side square the series at 1-1.
The right-armer became Lancashire's second ODI debutant in a week after Matt Parkinson's bow in the first match and bowled with impressive pace and control throughout
His first ODI wicket came with a peach of a delivery, clipping Reeza Hendricks' off bail to dismiss the opener for 11.
Mahmood and Parkinson are both part of the T20I series after the former was called up as a replacement for the injured Jofra Archer.
The series begins on Wednesday at Buffalo Park, East London.
