Parky's relishing Vitality Blast crowds this summer

Parky's relishing Vitality Blast crowds this summer

Lancashire Lightning and England leg-spinner Matt Parkinson chats to Warren Hegg about the return of crowds for the 2021 Vitality Blast

Matt Parkinson is thrilled by the prospect of playing in front of a raucous Emirates Old Trafford crowd once again during this summer's Vitality Blast.

Speaking from England's team hotel in Ahmedabad, to former Lancashire and England wicketkeeper Warren Hegg, the leg-spinner explained how he and his Lightning teammates thrive on the crowd and hailed the impact that supporters can make during a close game.

Parkinson also discussed the keenly awaited Games of Roses clash with Yorkshire Vikings and why it will be such a special occasion when the two sides meet in front of Lancashire fans for the first time since 2018 - following an abandonment in 2019 and behind-closed doors cricket last summer.

Tickets are now on general sale for Lancashire Lightning’s home fixtures in Vitality Blast 2021 with all seven matches set to be played at Emirates Old Trafford. Tickets start from just £1 for juniors and £5 for adults.
