Steven Croft: 'We have to show character'

The veteran all-rounder is hoping Lancashire can show resilience with the bat during the final day against Nottinghamshire

After finishing the third day unbeaten as the last recognised front line batsman, Steven Croft is hoping a resilient showing can help Lancashire avoid defeat against Nottinghamshire in the Bob Willis Trophy.

The Red Rose will resume still 143 runs shy of the follow-on with four wickets in hand, meaning they will have to bat long tomorrow to first avoid batting again or, failing that, show resilience in the second innings.

With eight points available for a draw in the Trophy, Croft knows the importance of seeing tomorrow through unscathed.
