Updates: Intra-squad friendly Day One
Lancashire's schedule begins today ahead at Chester Boughton Hall ahead of the 2020 season
Welcome to the start of Lancashire's 2020 domestic season!
The squad are going head-to-head in an intra-squad friendly over the next two days in Chester before the visit to Yorkshire at Emerald Headingley later this week.
We will have a small number of updates on this page throughout the day.
5:00pm: The close of play for Day One at Chester Boughton Hall comes with the score on 113/1 for Team B.
Keaton Jennings (36*) and Dane Vilas (55*) looked largely untroubled in the afternoon sunshine, though the latter did survive a sharp caught and bowled chance from Danny Lamb.
We'll have further updates tomorrow for Day Two of the fixture. Team B will bat for 60 overs before Team A return to the crease for the final 30-over session.
4:50pm: We're approaching the close of play with only a couple of overs to go, but Dane Vilas reaches his fifty in style.
The captain has largely dominated the scoring in this partnership with Jennings and goes to his half century by pulling Rob Lord over the boundary at deep square.
The skipper looks in excellent shape.
4:20pm: Keaton Jennings and Dane Vilas are keeping the scoreboard ticking over nicely in the third and final session of the day, progressing the score to 63/1 off 21 overs. George Balderson is the only wicket to fall thus far.
There are nine overs left today.
2:40pm: Tea is taken at Chester Boughton Hall with Team A on 179/6. George Burrows was the man to strike twice towards the end of that session, clean bowling both Brooke Guest and Tom Bailey.
As per the terms of this practice match, Team B will now bat the remaining 30 overs on the first day. They will also bat the first 60 overs tomorrow before Team A take the final 30 overs as bowling workloads for both sides are spread across two days.
2:15pm: Rob Jones departs for 71, caught at deep midwicket going for the boundary off the bowling of Tom Hartley. The right-hander will be more than pleased with his efforts in a decent stand alongside Brooke Guest.
The score is 166/4 with Danny Lamb joining Guest (33*) in the middle with seven overs to go until tea.
1:35pm: The first fifty of the season comes for Rob Jones. It's been a watchful innings from the right-hander with the odd flash of aggression, including a four and six in consecutive deliveries.
Team A have moved on to 126/3 in the 43rd over as the partnership with Brooke Guest (12*) also reaches fifty.
12:15pm: Lunch on the first day comes with Team A on 93/3 from 30 overs. Alex Davies was the man to go for 42, driving George Balderson to Keaton Jennings at mid-off.
Balderson's seven over spell was an impressive one, costing just 14 runs alongside two maidens.
Rob Jones is still at the crease on 25 not out accompanied by Brooke Guest (10*), who hit arguably the shot of the morning so far just before the break with a drive through the covers.
11:15am: A lively and competitive first hour or so as Team 1 reach 54/2.
Graham Onions has taken both wickets to fall, trapping Owais Shah LBW before later removing Josh Bohannon, well caught by Keaton Jennings at first slip.
Alex Davies & Rob Jones are in the middle at the moment on 23 and 17 respectively, with George Balderson and George Burrows into the attack.
10:05am: It's cloudy and a touch on the chilly side for the start of Lancashire's intra-squad friendly at Chester Boughton Hall today.
Luke Wood and Graham Onions are taking the new ball for Team 2, with Alex Davies and Owais Shah opening up for the other side.
The sides have been split as follows:
Team 1: Alex Davies, Owais Shah, Josh Bohannon, Rob Jones, Brooke Guest, Danny Lamb, Tom Bailey, Liam Hurt, Sam Dorsey, Rob Lord, Jack Morley
Team 2: Keaton Jennings, George Balderson, Dane Vilas, George Lavelle, JJ Fielding, Luke Wood, Tom Hartley, George Bell, Graham Onions, George Burrows, Josh Boyden
