Vilas thrilled to continue life at Lancashire
The Club captain speaks after extending his Lancashire stay into a fifth campaign
Dane Vilas says he's 'loved every minute' of his time at Emirates Old Trafford after the 35-year-old signed as an overseas player for the 2021 season.
Following the expiry of his non-overseas contract status in December; the Club moved quickly to offer Vilas a new overseas deal. Now, the Lancashire Captain since 2019 is glad to be able to turn his focus back to cricket.
"I'm glad it's actually done and it's official," said Vilas. "The Club have been fantastic with me throughout the whole process, working tirelessly behind the scenes to get it all sorted and now I'm looking forward to just moving forwards with Lancs.
"I've always said that it felt like home straight away from the moment I walked into the Club. Everybody from top to bottom was really supportive and made things really easy for me and my family coming over [from South Africa]."
"I've loved every minute of it and I can't believe that it's been five years already. I would have taken two or three years, but this has been an amazing journey so far."
