The Second XI suffered a 19-run loss to Yorkshire in a close encounter at Aigburth.
Lancashire captain George Lavelle won the toss in Liverpool and elected to bowl first.
There was some all-round good performances with the ball, as six different bowlers picked up wickets as Yorkshire made 235-8 from their 50 overs. Both Josh Boyden (2-14) and Tom Aspinwall (2-31) took two wickets a piece.
Will Luxton top scored with 40 while there were contributions from Matthew Revis (36) and Ben Birkenhead (35). Some late order hitting from Matt Waite who scored 22 from just 12 balls boosted the Yorkshire total.
Chasing a target of 236, openers Owais Shah and Taylor Cornall got the chase off to a great start reaching 80 without the loss of a wicket. But the introduction of spin soon changed the game as Josh Poysden and Jack Shutt were brought into the attack, as Lancashire lost three wickets for just 12 runs leaving the score 92-3.
Shah (38) was the first wicket to fall as he was caught behind off Poysden. The leg spinner then picked up his second in his next over trapping Lancashire captain George Lavelle (1) leg before wicket. Then Shutt was soon to join the action as he had Taylor Cornall caught by Will Fraine for 40.
The Lancashire middle order all made contributions, but nobody could see the side home as Poysden finished with an impressive 5-39 off 9 overs and Shutt 2-38 from 10 with the hosts collapsing from 168-4 to 216 all out.
For the Red Rose, JJ Fielding made 29, Cian Dickinson 25, George Bell 24 and Tom Aspinwall 23, but Lancashire were all out with three overs to spare.
